Radiology
X-ray & imaging

Radiologists are specialists who use medical imaging techniques such as x-rays, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and nuclear medicine for diagnosis and treatment of injuries and diseases. Radiology allows for non-invasive assessment of organs, tissues, bones and other internal structures. All of the staff members of the Mid Dakota Clinic Radiology Department are registered technologists with specialized training in using imaging techniques.

Our expert staff uses the latest advanced digital equipment, making radiological imaging faster, easier and more accurate. Digital image capture provides sharper images with more data about internal structures, giving your health care professionals the information they need to make accurate assessments and recommend the best options for your individual needs.

With any radiology procedure, be sure to inform your doctor and the technologist if there is any possibility you may be pregnant, if you have any allergies, or if you're taking any medication including over-the-counter medications, herbal or other health supplements. Wear loose, comfortable clothing to your radiology appointment. You'll be asked to remove any metal objects, such as watches, jewelry and eyeglasses, and may be asked to remove your clothing and wear a gown. See the sections below for more detailed information about the various forms of radiology and what you can expect if a particular procedure is recommended by your doctor.
